SCHOLARSHIPS
Check out these scholarships due between now and early August!
Dimon A. Williams Memorial Scholarship | July 26 | $590
Any high school or undergraduate student who has at least a 3.0 GPA and is from a single-parent household may apply for this scholarship if they have volunteering experience and plan to pursue at least a bachelor’s degree.
Marie Jean Baptiste Memorial Scholarship | July 30 | $1,000
Any African American high school senior or undergraduate who has contributed to their family and has non-profit, volunteering or community service experience may apply. Students of Haitian descent are encouraged to apply and will be given preference.
Bachus and Schanker, LLC Scholarship | July 30 | $2,000
Any high school senior accepted to attend a four-year university by the time of the award, or full time student attending a four-year university in the United States who carries a 3.0 cumulative GPA may apply.
World's Only Minecraft Scholarship | July 31 | $2,000
The $2,000 Minecraft Scholarship is open to high school and college students. You must be a U.S. citizen, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and submit an essay of at least 500 words that addresses the prompt on the scholarship provider's website.
Anderson Engineering Scholarship | July 31 | $7,120
Any BIPOC undergraduate student who is pursuing engineering may apply for this scholarship opportunity, but applicants who are enrolled in co-op engineering programs are preferred.
Castillo Scholarship | August 1 | $1,000
Any Hispanic, first-generation high school, undergraduate, or graduate student who is pursuing STEM may apply for this scholarship, but applicants who are Michigan residents are preferred.
LGBTQIA+ in Cybersecurity Scholarship | August 5 | $1,000
Any LGBTQIA+ undergraduate or graduate student who works and is self-supporting may apply for this scholarship if they’re pursuing cybersecurity. Applicants who have been ex-communicated from their communities, have experienced homelessness due to their identity, and/or are attempting to return to school are preferred.
Vietnamese Student of Excellence Scholarship | August 5 | $1,000
Any Vietnamese or Vietnamese-American undergraduate or graduate student may apply for this scholarship opportunity. To apply, write a 400-600 word essay, describing how your Vietnamese heritage has impacted your educational journey so far.
Phil Murphy Technical Theater Scholarship | August 10 | $1,000
Any high school senior, undergraduate, or trade school student who is interested in a theater career may apply for this scholarship, whether they hope to be an actor, stagehand, lighting technician, sound technician, or a related position. To apply, write a 400-600 word essay describing what area of theater you’re planning to pursue and why.
North Star Dreamers Memorial Scholarship | August 15 | $5,000
High school juniors or seniors pursuing science, entrepreneurship or plans to become an inventor may apply. To apply, write a 400-600 word essay about how this scholarship will help you with your career goals.
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
FOR WASHINGTON STATE STUDENTS
ARTivism: Teen Arts Internship For BIPOC Girls & Gender Expansive Youth
ARTivism is a 10-week arts intensive for high school-aged girls and gender expansive youth of color. you will explore three art disciplines in two-week increments, and create unique pieces to display at a youth expo at the end of november.
COMPENSATION: $1,600 stipend!
LOCATION: Seattle (office is located on 1544 S. Snoqualmie St but may meet at other locations).

TeenTix Newsroom
The TeenTix Newsroom is a group of teen writers, ages 13 - 19 spanning grades 8 through early college students and from across the greater Seattle area, led by the Teen Editorial Staff. The Newsroom operates in line with the school-year schedule and runs continuously from September to June. Newsroom writers review events at TeenTix Arts Partners for the TeenTix blog - and GET PAID FOR WRITING!
You must be a current TeenTix Member to participate (SIGN UP NOW!)
Final Application Deadline - August 11, 2024 at midnight.
Rainier Beach Youth Stewards
The Rainier Beach Youth Steward program is a youth employment program where youth, ages 14-18, gain job experience through wetland restoration and farm education.
Pay : Youth will be paid $19.97/hr and receive paychecks bi-weekly.
Final Application Deadline - August 3, 2024.
Seattle Youth Employment Program
The Seattle Youth Employment Program (SYEP) supports young people (ages 16 to 24) from qualifying-income households and communities that experience racial, social, and economic disparities. The goal is to increase youth and young adults' ability to pursue careers that pay well and are meaningful to them.
Final Application Deadline - September 20, 2024.
