OCTOBER SCHOLARSHIP LIST

  • Oct 1 | First Gen Fellowship | $1,000

    • Must be a current first gen student experiencing financial hardship. No red tape, no GPA threshold, no citizenship requirement - just direct support to students who needed it.

  • Oct 2 | WEB DESIGN SCHOLARSHIP | $1,000

    • Open to students attending school in the United States. Applicants must be a student at an accredited school, or be accepted to begin school at an accredited school within 6 months of application.

  • Oct 15 | Barbara A. Cooley Master's Scholarship | $1,000

    • The award is a $1,000 scholarship awarded annually to a master's level student. Recipients may spend the award in any manner they desire. Recipients will also receive a one-year complimentary student membership in SHAPE America. 

  • Oct 15 | Bill Kane Undergraduate Scholarship | $1,000

    • The award is a $1,000 scholarship awarded annually to an undergraduate student. Recipients may spend the award in any manner they desire. Recipients will also receive a one-year complimentary student membership in SHAPE America. 

  • Oct 15 | Nicholas A. Pennipede Memorial Scholarship | $1,000

    • Following in that spirit of achievement, we are proud to offer scholarships to students looking to achieve their college educational goals while demonstrating a commitment to helping their communities. We look forward awarding scholarships to sincere and dedicated students who share our values of community building and hard work.

  • Oct 16 | WSOS Career and Technical Scholarship | $1,500

    • CTS provides Washington state students up to $1,500 per quarter for apprenticeship, certificate, or associate degree programs in STEM, health care, and the trades. WSOS can cover costs beyond tuition, such as housing, transportation, food, and more.

  • Oct 24 | BIPOC Scholarship | $1,500

    • The BIPOC Scholarship from Point Foundation provides financial and community support to BIPOC students.

  • Oct 30 | U.S. Bank Student Scholarship | $20,000

    • Win up to $20,000 in scholarships. Boost your financial knowledge for a chance to win tuition money with the U.S. Bank Student Scholarship.

  • Oct 31 | Unigo Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship | $2,000

    • Scholarship is open to U.S. students who are legal residents of the United states and at least 14 years old at time of application. To apply, applicants must submit a response to the scholarship prompt in 250 words or less.

  • Oct 31 | Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships | $90,000

    • The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans provides merit-based funding for New Americans, immigrants and children of immigrants, who are poised to make significant contributions to US culture, society and academia.

Youth in Focus Social Media Internship

  • Youth in Focus is looking for a creative social media intern who’s excited and passionate about storytelling through social media as a form of connecting to the local community. πŸ“²

  • You will work with the Community Engagement Manager to develop content and engage our audiences through our blog, Instagram, Facebook, Mailchimp, and (possibly) TikTok. Our social media platforms allow us to share opportunities at Youth in Focus and Seattle's broader creative art community.
