Scholarship List Totaling ~$58,000!

  1. May 6 | Ms Ida Mae’s College Bound Scholarship | $2,000

    • Any high school student in Washington (priority given to students in the Seattle metropolitan area) who is a member of an underrepresented population that has been historically excluded may apply for this scholarship opportunity. Applicants need to have at least a 2.8 cumulative GPA and must be admitted to an accredited not-for-profit post-secondary school, college, or university.

  2. May 9  | Edmund F. Maxwell Foundation Scholarship | $5,000

    • The Maxwell Scholarship was established to assist high school seniors from Western Washington in obtaining a higher education. For freshmen starting college during the 2025-26 academic year, scholarships will be $5,000 per year. This award has the potential to be renewed for up to an additional three years of undergraduate education.

  3. May 10 | Great Minds in STEM Scholarship | $5,000

    • Applicants must be of Hispanic descent and/or must significantly participate in and promote organizations and activities in the Hispanic community. Students must be U.S. citizens, U.S. residents, have a F1 Visa, or DACA status. Must pursue a STEM degree.

  4. May 13 | WSOS Graduate Scholarship | $25,000

    • Funding can be used for eligible Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs at one of five nursing schools in Washington state. Applicants must be a Washington state resident and demonstrate financial need, and must be attending one of the eligible universities.

  5. May 20 | Brower Youth Awards | $3,000

    • Youth environmental change leaders ages 13 to 22 (as of the application deadline) living in North America (including Mexico, Canada, and U.S. territories) are encouraged to apply.

  6. May 29 | CVS Health Foundation Health Care Careers Scholarship | $10,000

    • The CVS Health Foundation Health Care Careers Scholarship was established in collaboration with UNCF to provide need-based scholarships to qualified African American or Latino/a/e students for their junior and senior years.

  7. May 29 | Sally Heet Memorial Scholarship | $4,000

    • This annual award is presented to an outstanding public relations student from a college or university in Washington State. Full-time Washington State sophomore or junior in the 2024-2025 academic year, pursuing a career in public relations who will be a full-time junior or senior during the 2025-2026 academic year at a Washington State college or university.

  8. May 31 | Altruism + All Good Deeds Scholarship | $1,000

    • This scholarship is awarded to students who participate in volunteer work and community service. Applicants must be a high school junior or senior, undergraduate, or graduate student; must have at least a 2.5 GPA, and must currently enrolled or plan to be enrolled part-time or full-time in an accredited U.S. college or university. Vocational/technical, two-year, four-year, or graduate institutions are eligible.

  9. May 31 | Brian Terry Scholarship | Varies

    • To be eligible, applicants must: be a United States citizen or legal resident; have a 3.0 GPA; and be a graduating high school senior or currently attending or planning to attend college, and intend to study criminal justice or a related field of study and eventually seeking a career in law enforcement.

  10. May 31 | Bright Future Scholarships | $3,000

    • Automotive Technician Scholarship: The Washington State Auto Dealers Association (WSADA) will award six (6) $3,000 scholarships to individuals currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a Washington State automotive technology program.

Youth Summer Internship

  • The Khmer Anti-Deportation Advocacy Group (KhAAG) Youth Summer Internship is a 3-month program designed for Southeast Asian-identifying youth aged 18-24 in Washington State. This program provides an introduction to the challenges faced by the Southeast Asian community, hands-on experience in addressing these issues, and the opportunity to learn how to empower and support refugee and immigrant communities.

  • Requirements: Aged 18-24 years old. Residing in Washington State. Southeast Asian- Identifying. Available from June 2 - August 15, 2025.

High School & College Internship - Career Explorations

  • This position is designed to provide meaningful work experiences and career exposure to the field of recreation for youth ages 15 – 21. In this position, youth will participate in a structured curriculum of work-based learning experiences that encourage youth to explore and experiment in different areas of parks and recreation. Career Explorations has four focus areas, recreation, event planning, nutritional education and fitness education.

  • Requirements: For students enrolled at an accredited High School, or enrolled in an accredited 2-year or 4-year undergraduate college program, ages 15-21. Must be a WA resident.

Poderosas Fellowship

  • This year-long fellowship helps young Latinas build the Latina Electorate with an interactive curriculum focused on learning the techniques and tools for how civic engagement campaigns work, why Latinx political leadership and representation matters, and how to build political engagement among young Latinxs in their local communities.

King County Teen Council 2025-2026

  • We're seeking high school aged youth from across King County to join Teen Council, a peer-led sex-ed program. We welcome teens of all lived-experiences to apply. No one is expected to already know about sexual education and reproductive healthcare, or have presentation skills. We strongly encourage people identifying as LGBTQIA+, disabled, Black, indigenous and youth of color, and/or from other resilient communities to apply. Join our fight for a more liberating, affirming, equitable community!

  • Compensation: Receive $400 over the course of the school year. Finish the program with over 150 hours of community service. Earn academic, volunteer and work experience at the same time!

Summer Planning Academy (SPA) for High School Students

  • Are you a high school student who is curious about how cities grow, change, and develop? The program encourages students to think creatively about how better planning can help people lead better lives. SPA can also help young people map out the required steps toward a career in the planning field. Upon successful completion of SPA, students are eligible to receive a $500 scholarship. Students will also receive a certificate to include in college, vocational and/or job applications.

  • Requirements: Live in King, Kitsap, Pierce, or Snohomish County and attend a local high school.

Carnegie Young Leaders for Civic Preparedness

  • Carnegie Young Leaders for Civic Preparedness is looking for young people who are ready to step up, bridge divides, and tackle pressing issues in their communities. In 2025, 500 young civic changemakers from across the country will form 100 teams to lead community projects

  • Requirements: Young people between the ages of 14 and 24. Commit 5-7 hours per month from July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026.

  • Compensation: $2.5K stipend for team lead. $1K stipend for each team member. Up to $1K reimbursement funding to support project planning and implementation. National recognition for your leadership. Real-world experience leading a community project.

The Youth Advisory Council (YAC)

  • The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a community engagement group of young people from around Washington. The YAC helps the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) understand what public health topics are important to young people and ensure public health program and projects are relevant to the people they serve.

  • Compensation: Get a $50 Amazon e-gift card after every meeting. Earn community service and volunteering hours.

  • Requirements: Young people ages 13-22 who live in Washington can apply to join the YAC.

Young Executives of Color

  • YEOC is a nine-month college academic readiness program hosted by the University of Washington Foster School of Business. The program currently serves over 160 high school juniors and seniors from 73 schools in the state of Washington. Students attend sessions on the UW campus one Saturday every month for college preparation, business lectures, professional development, and powerful mentorship. YEOC is a FREE nine-month program. The only cost to students is transportation to UW Seattle.

  • Requirements: High school juniors and seniors. Low-income students and firs-generation students are strongly encouraged to apply.

FEEST Seattle Summer Stories

  • Do you enjoy creating? Want to amplify your story and the stories of your community? Are you passionate about justice? Curious about how art can be a powerful tool for liberation? Want to build your skills in storytelling and social media? This 5-week program will run from July to early August, meeting once a week on Tuesdays. Each session features guest facilitators, skill-sharing, and lots of fun as we dive deep into the magic of storytelling.

  • Compensation: All participants will receive a $75 stipend per meeting for their time and energy!
